U.S. petroleum history is part of modern energy education.

Welcome to the American Oil & Gas Historical Society website. AOGHS.org includes links to energy education resources, especially the work of community museums – and preserves little-known stories of petroleum history.

The society does not have resources to investigate requests for information about stock certificates and company histories. But other website visitors may have information. To share research experience, AOGHS.org visitors are encouraged to post a question (with date and details about the certificate) on the Stock Certificate Q&A forum page.

For contributions to adding new articles, content and links, you can securely donate online. Expanding this AOGHS.ORG website and its petroleum history articles depend on individual donations. Please support our energy education mission.

paypal_Bruce-WellsPlease Note:  AOGHS does not have staff or funding to respond to all requests for research (many resources, including links to directories of obsolete securities, can be found in Old Oil & Gas Stock Certificates). If you want help researching an old oil stock certificate, first post your question on the website’s Stock Certificate Q&A forum page.
